Vet Gen - As a pioneer in canine genetic disease detection services, the mission of VetGen is to improve the health of all purebred animals, by providing informative and valuable services to animal breeders, owners, and care providers.

PennGen - This is the first Section of Medical Genetics in a clinical department of a veterinary school and thereby provides an excellent opportunity to integrate basic and clinical veterinary research. The Section was founded in 1970 and has focused on the study of naturally occurring genetic diseases of companion animals.

Optigen - A service company established to provide DNA based diagnoses and information about inherited diseases of purebred dogs.

CERF (Canine Eye Registry Foundation) - The Canine Eye Registration Foundation (CERF) is an organization that was founded by a group of concerned, purebred owner/breeders who recognized that the quality of their dog's lives were being affected by heritable eye disease. CERF was then established in conjunction with cooperating, board certified, veterinary ophthalmologists, as a means to accomplish the goal of elimination of heritable eye disease in all purebred dogs by forming a centralized, national registry.
